What a great start to autumn we have had with much-needed rain as a relief from the heat over summer. The cooler nights have also arrived with those beautiful sunny autumn days.
Autumn is such a great time of year in Canberra with the beautiful autumn colours in the trees throughout the suburbs, and foggy mornings giving way to brilliant sunshine days and cooler nights. It is also the perfect time for planting. New plants in the garden love this time of year and can still put on growth and establish themselves before winter, while not being stressed by heat and hot winds.
It's also a great time to plant out your vegetables for winter with cauliflower, broccoli, brussel sprouts, peas and more - you can have all your veggies ready for those delicious soups through winter.
We have lots happening in the nursery with Mothers Day coming up in May. Why not book in the cafe for morning tea, lunch or afternoon tea and you can be entertained with live music, fabulous food and a beautiful atmosphere.
Our Tuesday Talks are a great way of learning more about gardening. Held twice a month in the nursery, with complimentary morning tea, the talks are a great way to socialize, learn, and have fun. For the full list of all the upcoming talks visit the Tuesday Talks page.
We have lots of beautiful colour plants in stock through autumn to give your garden that lift after summer and to take you into winter with a great looking garden. Come in and see us for advice on what will work for you,
Happy Gardening Rodney
