I love that winter has brought some rain with it in the first few days. Rain, followed by our beautiful Canberra winter sunshine, is perfect for our gardens and for us to be outside.
The seasons have changed, so as always the range of plants, pots and giftware have changed to winter stock. Our fruit trees and deciduous trees have all arrived, and it is so inspiring to walk around and select some amazing specimens for the garden or pots. I love looking at the range of fruit trees, as I always find something that I want to plant with the thought of the delicious fruit that it will bear. I don't think that there is any simpler pleasure then picking homegrown fruit, straight from the tree.
The women's fashion wear is looking fabulous with a range of amazing scarves; from silks, to wool as well as cottons and cashmere, in every colour, style and texture. The wraps, vests, and cardi's are also beautiful in different styles and materials - such a staple for winter.
Who doesn't adore a warm toasty fire in winter? We are loving the new range of fire pits, chimeneas and fire boxes, it makes me want to have one burning every night and just hang out around it. The atmosphere it lends to our outdoor areas is awesome, and a must for anytime of year (well except in total fire bans).
The café has a delicious new winter menu, with warming food that will keep you going no matter what the temperature, and the best coffee that you can partake in while wandering the nursery, pondering additions to your garden.
Come in and see us for a great idea or two. We look forward to seeing you.
Happy Gardening, Rodney
