Summer is here with those warmer days giving everyone something to talk about. Christmas is fast approaching and the shopping for those special gifts is underway, as well as those catch-ups with friends and family that we never seem to manage throughout the year.

Christmas shopping is easy at Rodney's, with a range of products that will be enjoyed by the whole family. Emma and Cheryl have bought some fabulous giftware in with new ranges of Laura Ashley, divine women's summer clothing, children's toys, and gardening sets, not to mention some stunning pots that you can choose a perfect specimen plant to pot into it. Or for that hard to buy person, why not get them a Rodney's gift voucher? Come in and see us, we will gift-wrap for free you're chosen gifts for you, and you can sit and relax with a coffee in the café.

There are heaps of activities happening at Rodney's in December, with our final Tuesday Talk on the 17th, Carols by Candlelight on Thursday 12th, the café will be open that night if you would like to book for dinner (a great way to catch up with friends). We also have our Christmas and Outdoor furniture catalogue sales on until the 24th December.

We at Rodney's have had a great year, working with all of you and hearing of your successes in the garden. We appreciate your support of our independent family business, and we look forward to sharing another great year with you in 2014.

What a great start to autumn we have had, with much-needed rain as a relief from the summer heat. The cooler nights have also arrived with those beautiful sunny autumn days.

We love the new range of bulbs that have arrived, with stunning peony tulips that look just like a peony rose with many layers of petals forming a gorgeous, showstopping flower. The new woodland varieties of bulbs are just as beautiful, creating carpets of flowers through spring.

The start of Autumn is a great time to plant your vegetables for winter, with cauliflower, broccoli, brussel sprouts, peas and more - you can have all your veggies ready for those delicious soups through winter.

We have lots happening in the nursery with Easter and our famous Easter Egg Hunt. Make a booking for breakfast and the hunt and then relax while the children have a wonderful time searching for eggs. We also have an adult champagne cork hunt with a fabulous prize.

With Mother's Day coming up in May, why not make a reservation in the cafe for morning tea, lunch or afternoon tea with mum. You will be entertained with live music, fabulous food and a beautiful atmosphere. Call the cafe on 6257 5822 to make a booking.

Tuesday Talks are a great way of learning more about gardening. Held twice a month in the nursery with complimentary morning tea, the talks are a great way to socialize, learn, and have fun. View a full list of upcoming talks here.
